We will all find our own truth through experiencing life and learning from cause and effect, what our emotions, intuition and bodies tell us. . All the teachers in the world can say to do it this way or that way or claim something is the truth - and although it can be helpful to consider the wisdom from those who have mastered, experienced and/or are doing the work, we should also release what doesn't resonate and listen within. . The real work is not about the outer performance or the show, the certifications and titles and how much one can elevate themselves and appear in a certain way for credibility and admiration, nor is it about escaping and running away out of fear of what others may think of us. . The real work is about the person who wakes up and goes to bed every night, and how one treats their relationships and nurtures the relationship with the self. . The real work here is to be aware, compassionate beings, living embodied in all the qualities that reflect the divinity and values that we are made of. . The real work is to do whatever it takes to rise above our ego, our small self, our conditioning and the illusion of separateness to expand into our true nature, to be in harmony within, to be whole without and clear the shit that keep us stuck and limited. . The real work is to be real and genuine and to speak and live from the heart so our essence, that of Spirit and Love can transform.

There is something very special about the land around Harrison hot springs. . The last couple of times I've visited, I go off trail into the mountains behind the resorts and it's brimming with what feels like ancient + sacred energy...its tangible. . Lila even said today she felt like we were being watched and she felt like we weren't alone in there although it was just the kids and I. . During our time in there today I felt called to connect with spirit and honour the moment. I try and do this with the kids often so they learn and understand that nature is truly alive and that we are not separate. We all placed a hand on a big nearby cedar tree and the other on our hearts and gave thanks. . I feel connected to this place, although I dont know much about it outside of what you can find on the internet about the Sts'ailes people. . I found out later that the name ‘Sts’ailes’ is derived from the Halq’eméylem word ‘Sts’a’íles’, which means “the beating heart” 😭💗 . If anyone knows about the land, the Sts'ailes people, stories or legends and you don't mind sharing - I'd be honoured to know more.

making memories . Heavy emotions + feelings of anxiety that come along with change can surface and be heightened around the holiday season. . As the month of December (the so called festive season) is well underway, I am feeling constricted by the reality of my changed family structure, now being seperated. . I still sometimes grieve over the ILLUSION that we are fed of the 'perfect little family around the perfect little Christmas tree, doing perfect family activities'. Don't get me wrong I'm not being cynical, I am happy for you if you are that family but equally happy for you if you have created a perfectly imperfect family as well. . I have LET GO of societal expectations and deluded ideas of perfectionism - especially around my own wellbeing and what my life 'should' look like. . My grief comes from being a mama; a single mama during the Christmas season. I worry about my kids; their feelings + their experiences. . I stay up at night wondering if they're being negatively effected by the changes, If they're internalizing anything, if they're feeling lack of any kind. Of course I know that fathers (including theirs) and grandparents etc...worry about this as well, but I am simply speaking from my own experience. . With awareness I recognize and have to constantly remind myself that - if I focus my love and energy on my own happiness, my own healing, my own love for self, and loving THEM wholeheartedly, THEY WILL THRIVE. . So to reclaim my feelings around the holiday season and emPOWER myself to be a true co-creator of my own life...... I am excitedly 🤗 whisking the kids away for a night up to the lake to stay in a little cabin and soak in the hot springs, sip hot coco and ice skate on the frozen pond to fill our hearts and spirits and create uplifting feelings and memories this holiday season and for many more to come. . 🎄❤💚 . . Whatever growing pains you are moving through this year - you got this - believe you can and create the life you want to live.

Last night I had a vision of myself on a very long walk, carrying bags of heavy things; some were mine, some were not, some I needed, some I didn't. ~ I was tired and struggling to continue with the weight of everything on my back and shoulders and then it HIT me ~ ALL I needed to do to continue on my journey with ease is put down all the heavy things I didn't need. ♡ You know when you already know something and you've heard it a hundred times - but every now and then it just hits you in a way that shifts everything. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

OH SHIT ~ it's December ! . Can you believe that we are officially in the last month of a YEAR - a DECADE - a significant PHASE !! . What has this year brought to the surface ? C A C A O . I was introduced to the spirit of Cacao when I lived in Ecuador and have continued to sit with it in heart ceremony ever since - it is my favorite plant medicine. . Having the privilege of observing the journey of it being grown, harvested, sun dried and processed by hand has deeply enhanced my love and appreciation for it. . In my experience, cacao ceremony can assist in energetic healing and receiving clarity in the areas of love, purpose, intuitive abilities, creativity, personal development and growth. . Hold + Smell + Taste + Take in the cacao, connect to the heart space and feeling of gratitude, and set your intention... How do I want to feel? What am I ready to call into my life?
